Hello everyone,
Firstly, we must extend a heartfelt apology for the recent silence on our blog—it’s been a whirlwind couple of months here at the Association and on the Board. As we juggle numerous projects, we realize the importance of keeping you all informed and engaged.
We Want to Hear from You!
Are you interested in contributing to our blog? If you have insights, stories, or advice to share from your experiences in the bail industry, please don’t hesitate to contact the association office or our board member, Julie Henderson. We’re eager to feature contributions from agents across the state to enrich our community’s knowledge and perspective.
Busy Times in the Bail Community
There’s a lot happening around here! From PLE and CE classes to Conference planning and Legislative efforts, our plates are full but our spirits are high. We are also in the midst of Board Member and Hall of Fame nominations, which close on June 30th—as mentioned in our emails and newsletters. Please make sure to submit your nominations as soon as possible.
Urgent Reminder: License Renewals and CE Deadlines
The deadline for license renewals and Continuing Education credits is also June 30th. Each year, several bondsmen unfortunately miss this crucial deadline, resulting in the need to retake PLE and reapply for their licenses. We’ve scheduled a plethora of classes throughout the month to ensure everyone gets the 3 hours of credits needed. Remember, you’ll also need your fingerprints and proof of residency for this year’s renewal. We’re doing our best to remind everyone frequently—please help us spread the word!
Next Board Meeting
Our next board meeting is scheduled for July 10th at the NCBAA offices in High Point. We encourage anyone interested in becoming more involved with the Association to join us. Please notify our staff of your attendance so we can ensure there is enough seating and food for lunch.
Stay Connected
If you haven’t already, please follow us on Facebook. We strive to share every piece of information possible through this platform to keep you as informed as possible about anything concerning bail. Additionally, we do have an Instagram page that we are attempting to publish on more often as well. Please follow us there too if you haven’t already!
Be Proactive
We understand that several counties are experiencing growing pains with the implementation of Odyssey/eCourts, and we want to hear about what’s happening in your area. Counties set to go live with new systems in July are already figuring out the logistics. If you have questions or concerns—ask them! Sometimes, changes in one area can impact other operations without everyone realizing. It’s crucial to be proactive in discussing potential impacts with those in charge.
As always, we are here to support you. Whether you have ideas, thoughts, or issues, please reach out. Your feedback and involvement are what help us all grow stronger together!
Thank you for your patience and continued support.
