The course titled, “The Business of Bail Bonding: Protecting Your License, Business, and Reputation; Practical Compliance, Court Procedures, and Professional Standards”, was designed by Julie Henderson, Tracy Lowe, Jarret Burr, Jason Cunningham, Attorney Brad Hill, Regina Manzanares, and Michael Woody, all approved CE instructors.
The Business of Bail Bonding is a comprehensive continuing education course designed to equip bail agents with the knowledge and practical tools necessary to protect their license, business, and professional reputation. The course covers key areas including Professional Insights and Practical Guidance, Beyond the Basics: Practical Use of eCourts, Professionalism in Bonding, and Small Claims Court: Is It Worth It?
The Professional Insights and Practical Guidance segment addresses essential regulatory and operational responsibilities commonly referenced by the North Carolina Department of Insurance, including licensing requirements, compliance considerations, documentation standards, and renewal procedures. The Practical Use of eCourts segment provides critical instruction on navigating North Carolina’s eCourts system beyond basic case searches, enabling bail agents to locate relevant case information, monitor filings, and respond appropriately when information is missing or unclear.
The Professionalism in Bonding segment emphasizes the impact of professional conduct on credibility, regulatory standing, and public perception, addressing both in office and public-facing interactions. The Small Claims Court segment guides bail agents through the process of evaluating and pursuing small claims actions, including the required steps, costs, and practical considerations involved in recovering monies owed to a bail agency.
